Paranormal Cirque Review

Review: Paranormal Cirque

A few weeks ago I started seeing some interesting Facebook posts about a Paranormal Cirque coming to town.  I have to admit my interest was peeked so I visited their website and Instagram account.  The show was being billed as an R rated mixture of paranormal threatre, cabaret, and acrobatic.  So I decided to check them out on July 20th, 2018 at the Winston Salem Fair Grounds.

Pulling into the parking lot I would have to admit the large black tent with the red lighted “Paranormal Cirque” sign was both impressive and creepy.  Walking in I really didn’t know what to expect. Looking around at the chainsaw and ax carrying creatures and a devilish dwarf clown I knew I was in the right place.

As the show was getting started I got this feeling like I was in a circus version of from Dust til Dawn. I expected the exits to be sealed and Diablo the Clown to announce that it was feeding time for the vampires and zombies on stage.  But what happened instead was a well thought out and entertaining dark show.

The show was divided into two parts with a fifteen to twenty minute intermission. During the intermission, the audience is invited up to the stage to get their pictures made with Diablo the Clown. Review Paranormal Cirque

One of the first acts of the show were zombies performing a parallel bars act.  These undead gymnasts put on a stunning performance as they swung from bars to bars. The acts continued with vampires, demon possessed gymnast, aerial acrobatics, and dark comedy.

The second part of the show was filled with magical acts including a suspenseful finale. Paranormal Cirque is a brilliant blend of horror with aerial acrobatics, gymnastics, magic, and threatre.  The performers literally risk their lives during their onstage performances.  The show may not be for everybody. But if you like horror movies than Paranormal Cirque is a show that you don’t want to miss.
